Grateful

I got my wisdom teeth out this weekend. It was rough. And I've been in a lot of pain. But I am reminded every day that I am the luckiest girl alive. I have a sweet husband that would do anything for me. And I mean anything. Since I got my wisdom teeth out he has said to me every night before we go to bed.."if you need anything you wake me up. I don't care what it is just wake me up" He's amazing. and treats me better than I could have ever hoped for. So in this month of thanksgiving...I'm grateful for him. And all he does for me. I couldn't ask for more :)

Honeymoon

So I know I haven't blogged in forever...but blogger and I were in a fight. See, I blogged all about our honeymoon and then blogger just froze on me and it all got erased. And I got ticked. Hence I haven't blogged in forever..but I feel guilty. So I'm going to try the whole honeymoon post again.

Our honeymoon was a quick one. A total blast and worth it though if you ask us. Because of Brock's school we had to do a quick little five day honeymoon in Hawaii and then fly right back...ok so it was more like 4 days with the traveling. It was crazy! From wedding to reception to Hawaii to seattle for another reception and then drive back to Utah for school and work. To say we were exhausted after all of that was an understatement. But the honeymoon....Hawaii...amazing. So heres the low down on the honeymoon :)

Day 1 (Sunday): We had a crazy flight from Salt Lake to LA then to Honolulu. In LA we ate at chili's in the airport and had chips and salsa and drinks...that was it for dinner. Kami and Ben (my favorite oahu family) met us at the airport and gave us one of their cars for the time we were there. So sweet of them...saved us so much money! Then it was off to the resort. We stayed at the Marriott Ko Olina Beach Club. Its beyond beautiful. Once we got all settled in..it was about 11 at night..I realized that I was starving! So we called around to see what was open...what did we find...mcdonalds. So we ate a bit..and passed out!
at the airport
Day 2 (Monday): Monday was our relaxing day. We decided not to plan a thing and just hang out at the resort and just relax. We went to the pool and the beach...ate some hawaiian plate lunch and just hung out with each other. It was a little bit cloudy that day so we hung out at the hot tub quite a bit. Then that night we decided to head into Waikiki and eat a nice dinner. We ate at dukes...so good! Then we went and shopped around at the International Market Place. Brock brought me a Hawaiian ring to replace the one that I lost :) It was a fun night!
dukes
Day 3 (Tuesday): Tuesday we hit up the North Shore. It was like being back at home for me :) We first stops at Ted's Bakery (aka best place on the island) to eat lunch. Then we went and did a session at the beautiful Laie temple. It was amazing going to that temple as a newly married couple. Afterwards we did a drive on the coast of the North Shore..We went to the park by Chinamens hat and just played around. Then we went to the night show at the PCC. It was a blast! It was a good reminiscing day for me and it was great to be able to show Brock everything that I used to do!
beautiful laie temple
Day 4 (Wednesday): Our last full day on the island! We decided to make this another north shore day. We stopped at the pinneapple plantation on our way up and ate some pineapple ice cream! Then we went to eat lunch with Kami and Ben and the boys! It was so good catching up with them! They were like a second family to me so it was good to be able to have Brock get to know them a little better! Then we headed up to Waimea (best beach on the island) and Brock jumped off the rock and we just had a good time relaxing and playing in the sand! When we got back to the hotel we ate at a nice restaurant called Chucks Steakhouse and really went all out because my parents had sent us a gift card to there. It was an amazing sunset and some amazing food!
waimea :)
Day 5 (Thursday): We packed up and saw our last bit of Hawaiian sun! :( Kami took us to that airport and we said goodbye to our Hawaiian paradise. We flew into L.A. and had a layover overnight there. Luckily we got to stay in a beautiful marriott there and had one last night of our honeymoon. We ate at a burger place at the hotel and were just exhausted from all the traveling. We got up the next morning at 4 to catch our flight and make it back for our Seattle reception!

Couples Dating

A few weeks before Brock and I got married...Toni (Abbey's husband) explained to us "couple's dating"...if you don't know what he's talking about let me explain. Now that we're married its time to couples date. Its a lot like dating before your married except now in couples. You go out to dinner..do activities..make sense?

Anyways we're dating Abbey and Toni...couples dating that is haha. We hang out at least one night of the weekend...normally its to watch the BYU game. So last night we got together to do the regular..watch the game...but Abbs and I weren't having it. B.O.R.I.N.G. there wasn't anything exciting going on in the game. So at halftime...we went bowling. so much more fun. Did I suck? heck ya. But my husband won both times so yay for him! :)
This is us at Abbey and Toni's wedding. I can't wait to be friends with these guys forever. I mean..abbs and I go back to birth..but its nice that our husbands like each other too. We have fun. always will. love you guys.

Pathetic

So let me paint a picture for you....this past thursday night Brock and I are at my parents house. I had to work the next morning which means getting up at the awful 4 in the morning and so I go to bed pretty early on those nights. Normally Brock is very sweet and goes to bed early with me. Well Thursday..he had a cold sore..and wanted to ice it. So he said to me that I should go to bed and he would ice it and then come to bed after. Sounded fine to me. Until I got into that bed...alone...without him. Yup I literally could not sleep. I was tossing and turning thinking...when is he going to come to bed. Finally he came (seemed like an 5 hours..probably was only 20 minutes) and I fell asleep after that :)

So yes...I've become a pathetic wife who can't fall asleep without her husband in bed. Oh well...its just the way it is :)

Hope you all had a good weekend! Ours consisted of working....yuck.

Life as of late

I know...its been a while. Things have been crazy lately..and now things are finally settling down. I would tell you all about the wedding..but pics aren't in yet and what could is a recap of the wedding if we don't have pictures to show! :) So instead...I'll tell you whats up right now.

1. We finally are getting settled in our new apartment. Because I work so far away at the moment we have been back and forth staying at my parents and at our apartment but its finally starting to look alright. We have a couch, a kitchen table, a coffee table, a bed and bed stands. yup...sounds like a house to me. Its small. quite small. but there is only two of us there so who really cares right? And we are only there til may so lets be honest...we can live in a small place until may.

2. School is up and running. And homework..it still blows. Brock and I have been doing homework the past couple days basically we do homework for a while..then we look at each other and kiss and eat an airhead and say i was just missing you...then we get back to our homework for a while! yup..thats life.

3. I'm still driving forever away..Its hard to find time to look for a job. Its going to be my number one priority next week. Anybody have any connections in utah county for an RN job? If you do..let me know. Im dying to not drive forever away. Its getting pretty old. But its money. and I love my job...I just wish it was closer.

4. We are madly in love and LOVE being married. Its the best. I'm so glad that Brock is my husband and I get to be with him forever. Life is good. :)

5. Here's a pic one of our friends took from the wedding. I love how everyone is all over the place but its like we are the only ones there :)

7 days + 1 day

Thats right people. The wedding is that close. 8 days. 1 week and 1 day. 7 days and 1 day. I could go on with a list of ways to say it but its getting close is basically my point. I have three more days of work this weekend, then the temple on tuesday, wednesday thursday who knows but i'm sure it will be super busy. friday we are having a family dinner. then saturday we get married! its all coming pretty dang quick. I actually thought for the first time today..wow I need to do my laundry or else I am not going to have any clean clothes for Hawaii or when we get back and that would be annoying. so here I am today just doing laundry while Brock sits and works.

Its crazy that all of this stuff is happening next week. I cannot tell you how long I have dreamed of my wedding day with Brock...and my dreams were always with Brock being the groom ever since I can remember. I am so happy that things worked out and that we are going to get to be married in the temple together for time and all eternity. A lot of people ask me all the time if I'm nervous to get married. I know it may be common for people to be super nervous but I'm just not. I am marrying Brock..I've known him forever. and I've known for a while that he is going to be my forever. I mean really people...you just can't beat this boy. He is seriously a gem and I have no doubt that he will treat me fabulous when we are married.

I can't wait to just get into a routine of daily life with him. Things have felt so hectic this summer (because they have been) and I just want to have a normal day to day life. Go to work, come home, eat dinner, do some school, and go to bed with my man. Is that to much to ask?! I know right now that seems like forever away but in just a few short weeks I'm sure that we will get a routine down and just be a happy little married couple.

Until then..its crazy hectic times for the next week. But I do have an amazing mom and sister who basically have taken the initiative to make our wedding fabulous. They seriously do amazing things.

Here's another pic....

The Married Blog...

A couple of years ago...back when blogging started to be getting popular, I noticed that most everyone that was blogging was married and had a cute little married blog. Brock was on his mission at the time and I thought to myself..."I will never get a blog until I am married." Of course a couple of months later I wanted to start blogging so that thought went to the back of my brain and I started to blog my own blog. Even though my blog was mostly about how I missed Brock, it still wasn't the married blog that I first thought about when it came to blogging. So am I excited to be finally marrying the love of my life? Heck ya I am! ..But I am also excited that I get to start this new "married" blog also. I have thought about this day multiple times...the getting a married blog day...and I couldn't wait 2 weeks and 2 more days so I figured I would just start it now because we're getting married anyways so who cares right!?

Well the wedding is in two weeks and two days now. We couldn't be more excited. We couldn't be more stressed. And it literally can't get here soon enough. Multiple times throughout the day Brock and I will text each other just saying things like "TWO WEEKS AND TWO DAYS" or "Can we be married already" ..things like that. We know that we haven't been engaged to long but to us it feels like this wedding might never get here. Our new saying is that "short engagements are still long engagements." And its totally true. Being engaged is awful because all you want to do is get married and instead you keep planning about the day you will get married even though it seems like that day is never going to come. So we are trying to survive our engaged part. I think it will be easier when Brock moves down here for good on Saturday because our entire engagement has been one of us flying to either Utah or Washington just about every week. Its been super crazy to say the least.

Have I said how incredibly in love we are though? And how Brock is the most amazing person that I know....seriously he couldn't be more of a sweetheart to me even though I am literally a crazy person half the time because of all the stress with the wedding. Can I tell you something he does every single day? Every morning I wake up to a text that he has sent me while I am asleep from him. And its always a text saying some cute thing to me about how much he loves me and can't wait until we are sealed together. Something cute like that. Every morning. He's a dang cute fiancé. There is literally never a time that I think to myself...does Brock love me? He is always constantly telling me. What would I do without that boy? I keep trying to keep perspective because even though the wedding is stressful...at the end of the day we're doing it all because we just want to be married to each other.

So there is my first married blog post. Did I do alright? Here's an engagement pic for a treat :)
so in love.
