Our Little Ones

One of the best parts about being in Washington this summer has been that we get to see our nieces and nephews all the time. We LOVE those little ones to say the least! They are so much fun and it has been so awesome for us to get to see them more often.
These little ones are not so little anymore....Brooke and Brent's kids LOVE their uncle Brock. We got to babysit them the other night and they were jumping all over him. Sadie (one in the middle) told me that her Uncle Brock is the funniest and that I am just sort of funny but she still loves me :) Spencer can say both of our names and we just love that cute smile of his. Kate is growing up like crazy and loves to be talking and hanging out with the grown ups now
And then there is Brandi's son Cade. Pretty much one of the cutest kids that we know. We bring him airheads when we go see him just so that we can see how excited he gets and starts running around the house showing everyone about how he got an airhead from Ali. Brock lives for having sword fights with Cade. They could "kill" each other for hours and hours.
And then there is Brandi's newest little bundle of joy. And my bundle of joy....I lovvvve little miss Blakely. I completely admit that I am a Blakely hog. Whenever she comes over I steal her away. She is so adorable and the other day was awing over Brock. They were totally flirting with each other. We love her and thats that. :)

Well there they all are. They are great. And within a couple of weeks there will be another. We love love love them all! Its been so so fun! :)

Crafty Ali

If you know me...you know I'm about as far away from being crafty as you can get. But since I have had a little time these past few weeks I decided that it was time that I put my crafting skills to the test. And it worked! I made a chevron canvas for my apartment and I am very very proud. Here it is..
first you tape it.....
then you paint....
then its finished! :)
And if your wondering...yes I used a template to put the tape on.....no way could I have done that free hand...and then I took white paint after and went over the spots that bled a little from the tape :)

One Year Ago

Today marks the one year mark from when my favorite guy got home from his mission. I can't believe that a year has passed since that amazing day. And literally it has only gotten better since then. I pretty much have an amazing husband. And I am so grateful that he served such an amazing mission. It has blessed my life so much. I adore him a little :)

We're Here!

Well we are here! And when I say here I mean in Seattle! We got here a few weeks ago now and things have been pretty crazy getting settled!  We were lucky to have Brock's companion Nate drive up with us and we got to do some fun things with him! We did the regulars here...go to Kerry Park to see the view, Pike Place Market, Space Needle, shopping at Bellevue Square...ya know..my favorites!
fav view in seattle.
Then I got sick! Reallly sick...actually I was starting to get sick in the pic above. And I stayed sick for a good few days. Finally the antibiotics started kicking in. And just a few days ago I got better. Heres a lovely pic of me at the doctors office. They made me wear a pretty mask :)

Then just as I was feeling better....on Monday we had a crazy miracle happen in our family! Our little nephew Cade was supposed to be at nap time when he somehow opened the window in his room and fell out of his second story window. My sister in law Brandi heard the crash and went out and Cade was screaming and saying that his bum hurt. He was brought to Harborview Medical Center where they found one fractured rib and lots of bumps and bruises. It was seriously a miracle. He got released today and is doing so good. It has been amazing to see how much of a trooper he has been. We are all so happy that he is ok!
So to say its been crazy has been 100% true. But most of the time I'm just chillin...doin little errands and letting my boy work work work. He loves his job and is having a lot of fun and learning a lot. But I hate him being gone all day long. I think I've decided that I don't like it that he will have to work. I hate it. No thanks! I know it has to happen...but I don't like it! So if your bored and in Seattle..let me know! Because I am most likely free! :)

17 years.

I was in school for 17 years. I've been graduated for a week and a half. thats it. And I'm already bored. While I was in school I was begging to be done with it already..but now that its over...I just don't know what to do with myself. Its amazing how quickly I can get bored. But 17 years was a long time. I literally can't remember a time when I wasn't in school. I did have those lovely summer breaks growing up, but since I started college there literally hasn't been a semester that I haven't had some classes. I didn't take summer off. I was always in some sort of class. Its really weird now.

So I need a new hobby. And I don't know what that hobby is yet. But in a week and a half I'm going to have a lot more time on my hands. I've decided not to transfer my nursing license over to washington for the summer and instead I am going to nanny but that doesn't start until the middle of June. So I may die of boredom until then if I don't find a new hobby. So do you have any ideas for me? And it can't be to expensive of a hobby either. I need help people. Pinterest has become my hobby and I'm obsessed with that...but it does get old.

So I need a hobby....help me. :)

RN-BSN

I graduated!!!!! FINALLY! I feel like it has taken forever for me to get my bachelors after I got my RN. It was so worth it though. For my graduation my parents took us out to the Roof in Salt Lake! Brock and I had never been there and it was a yummy occasion! I decided that I didn't want to go to Rexburg again to walk and man am I glad because that meal was to die for! Thanks Mom and Dad for taking us! :) I now have 5 initials after my name! RN-BSN!

the view at the Roof...beautiful!
